Nota de la Directora Carla Forte
Durante el desarrollo de mi carrera, he descubierto la necesidad de aportar en los diálogos y las imágenes, mensajes que permitan crear consciencia social. Como humanista, me apasiona la idea de ser parte del cambio y es por eso que dentro de mi carrera artística, se me hace válido presentar conflictos sociales, junto a historias ficticias, en el que el espectador logre identificarse como ser humano, mientras al mismo tiempo forma parte de un nuevo mundo de sensaciones.
Mi intención principal como escritora y cineasta es comunicar mis inquietudes personales y sociales, transformándolas en un mundo mágico en el que todo puede ser posible. Mas allá de una narrativa e imagen poco tradicional, mi trabajo se concentra en experimentar nuevas sensaciones visuales a través de un conflicto. Reflejando un mundo de emociones que pueden estar al mismo tiempo muy cerca de la realidad y muy de la mano con lo inexistente.
La motivación principal que me lleva a desarrollar el largometraje Imagimundo, se basa en la idea de una nueva teoría en el que vivir y ser feliz, no depende de ninguna adquisición material. Los objetos que nos rodean en nuestro diario, son solo adornos que en algunos casos resultan necesarios. El patrón de una sociedad que exige de cierta forma vivir en una comunidad de consumo, hace al hombre olvidar lo que no se puede comprar con el dinero, como lo es, el cielo, el mar, las montañas, los ríos, los bosques. En fin, aprender a desapegarse de las cosas sin que nos duelan tanto y tomarnos el tiempo para descubrir lo que verdaderamente somos, es parte de esta experiencia cinematográfica.
Mientras Imagimundo plantea dos mundos paralelos uno real y otro imaginario, yo deseo describir el mundo real con imágenes oscuras, diálogos conflictivos y, un ambiente empobrecido en rutina y desesperanza. Cada uno de estos elementos proyectados a través de cuadros fijos que muestran la cotidianidad de la historia y sus personajes. En cambio para el mundo imaginario, propongo imágenes iluminadas, diálogos poéticos y los más hermosos lugares naturales nunca antes vistos, todos juntos proyectados a través de cuadros en movimiento en el que el trabajo coreográfico y la música clásica van de la mano.
Mis necesidades van más allá del simple hecho de crear. Para crear se necesita razones, convicciones, sentimientos, necesidades. Para crear se necesita ser. Yo soy mis creaciones, mis creaciones son lo que hay en mi.

Throughout my career, I have discovered the need to incorporate into my images and scripts messages that promote social consciousness. As a humanist, I am passionate about the idea of being part of the change; it is for that reason that within my artistic production, I find it valid and valuable to present social issues, along with fictional stories, that the spectator can identify with as a human being, while also representing a new realm of sensations.
My primary intent as a screenwriter and filmmaker is to communicate my personal and social concerns, transforming them into a magical realm where anything becomes possible. Beyond a non-traditional narrative and aesthetic style, my work focuses on experimenting new visual sensations through a conflict, reflecting a world of emotions that can lie both very near reality and also greatly on the side of nonexistence.
The main motivation that drives me to develop the feature IMAGINARIUM is based on the idea of a new theory in which to live and to be happy do not depend on any material acquisition. Those objects which surround us in our daily lives are but ornaments that in some cases become necessary. The pattern that somehow demands for us to live in consumerist society, makes us forget that which cannot be bought with money: being the sky, the sea, the mountains, rivers, forests. In short, to learn how to detach oneself from material things without suffering great pain and to take the time to discover what we really are, is part of that cinematographic experience.
While IMAGINARIUM presents two parallel worlds, one real and one imaginary, I wish to describe the real world with dark images, conflictive dialogues and an impoverished environment of monotony and hopelessness. Every one of these elements projected through still frames that show the day-to-day of the story and its characters. For the imaginary world, on the other hand, I propose lit-up images, poetic dialogue and the most beautiful unseen natural scenery, projected all together through frames in motion during which choreography and classical music go hand in hand.
My needs go beyond the simple act of creating. In order to create, you need motivations, convictions, feelings, urges. In order to create you must be. I am my creations; my creations are that which dwells within me.
